Casa Luna Llena, whose name (Full Moon House) evokes the moon glimmering on the beautiful waters of Vieques, is located in a quiet and safe residential street of Esperanza village, Vieques' main social and vacation center. In minutes you can walk to wonderful beaches, including mile-long Sun Bay, mesmerizing snorkeling, and the famous Malecón (waterfront promenade). At the Malecón you will find fine restaurants, bars and light food, shops, handicraft stands, kayak and snorkeling rentals, and tours to the Bioluminescent Bay, said to be the brightest and largest in the world. On weekend and holiday nights, Malecón's hanging-out spots offer regular and exotic drinks and food, tropical and international music and dancing, and very nice local and visiting people. You will also be able to walk in minutes to grocery and other convenience stores. To facilitate moving around and exploring the area we have three courtesy bikes for our guests.
In 2011, TripAdvisor listed Vieques among the Top 10 Beaches in the Caribbean & Mexico: "If you prefer your beaches without the accompanying commercial developments, Isla de Vieques is your tanning turf, with more than 40 beaches and not one traffic light." Recently renovated, Casa Luna Llena has sunny, airy and roomy living/dining room areas, a fully equipped kitchen, three spacious bedrooms that can accommodate up to ten persons, and two bathrooms. A front balcony, a terrace with comfortable porch furniture and two hammocks, and a large fenced-in yard provide plenty of relaxation space. WIFI internet access is available.
